Curriculum and Capacity Building
Organized by the World Bank’s GovTech Global Partnership in collaboration with South Korean digital governance institutions, the bootcamp equips civil servants with actionable frameworks for responsibly deploying artificial intelligence across public administration.
Participants collaborate with international technical mentors, study South Korea’s world-leading e-governance systems, evaluate AI procurement frameworks, and formulate an executable technical roadmap to implement upon return.

What the Fellowship Covers
- Roundtrip international air travel for both selected institutional delegates;
- Hotel lodging and ground transport for the duration of the bootcamp in South Korea;
- Official visa support letters and consular coordination assistance;
- Full five-day curriculum, site visits to Korean digital ministries, and mentorship with global GovTech experts;
- Potential post-bootcamp technical advisory assistance for up to three top-performing country delegations.
The program is conducted in English with Korean translation. While fluency in Korean is not required, both delegates must be capable of actively presenting technical project requirements and negotiating in English.
Application Requirements
The online application requires a detailed description of the agency’s public sector problem, proposed AI solution, technological readiness, institutional endorsement, and intended learning outcomes:
- Mandatory Institutional Support: A signed letter of endorsement from ministry leadership, a confirmed budget allocation, or a formal inter-agency memorandum of understanding;
- Professional bios of both delegates outlining their institutional authority and technical roles;
- Supporting architectural diagrams, data availability frameworks, and project timelines.
