Kazakhstani hardware startup AMS (Automated Monitoring Solutions), founded by young engineer Danil Mukhalev in Aktau, has deployed automated pre-shift health screening terminals across the country’s industrial, mining, and construction enterprises. What began as a high school robotics project has evolved into a high-growth industrial safety business, saving enterprises tens of millions of tenge and drastically reducing workplace accidents.
Automated Occupational Health Screening in 60 Seconds
At hazardous industrial sites, open-pit mines, oil rigs, and active construction sites, allowing an employee on duty while under the influence of alcohol or suffering from critically high arterial hypertension poses a fatal risk. However, legacy on-site nurse stations suffer from long queues, subjective assessments, human error, and corruption risks. The AMS diagnostic terminal solves this challenge at the hardware level:
- Biometric Facial Verification: Onboard cameras match worker faces against personnel databases, preventing unauthorized third-party substitutions;
- Comprehensive Multi-Sensor Diagnostics: Contactless infrared pyrometers measure body temperature, an automated digital cuff captures blood pressure and pulse, and a sensitive electrochemical fuel-cell sensor screens for alcohol breath vapor;
- ACS and Turnstile Integration: The clearance verdict is rendered within 60 seconds, with digital logs instantly transmitted to the facility’s Access Control System (ACS) and enterprise HR management software.
Domestic Manufacturing in Mangystau and Regional Export
Unlike costly foreign imports, AMS designs and manufactures its hardware terminals directly in Aktau, tailoring firmware and mechanical enclosures to withstand extreme desert heat, winter freezing, and heavy dust conditions. The startup already protects personnel across more than 10 major industrial clients and is actively preparing commercial entry into logistics and industrial service sectors in Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan.
