Pinduoduo has introduced free delivery to Kazakhstan on selected items with no minimum order, but extra charges may appear at checkout (digitalbusiness.kz). In the example reviewed, VAT and a service fee added around 19.2% to the cost of a 130-yuan purchase. According to the State Revenue Committee, the platform is registered for VAT in Kazakhstan. Check the final order total before paying.

Which items qualify for free delivery

A banner reading Free Shipping to Kazakhstan — No Minimum Purchase Required has appeared on the app’s home screen. It promises free delivery to Kazakhstan with no minimum purchase. The offer applies only to selected items.

The product listing must carry the Free Shipping to Kazakhstan label. Free delivery excludes bulky, long and heavy items weighing 10 kg or more. Another restriction applies when the combined length, width and height exceed 150 cm.

News of Pinduoduo’s project in Kazakhstan first emerged in September. For some purchases, shoppers can now enter an address in Kazakhstan and choose a pickup point.

How the order price changes

How much is added to the item price

The order reviewed had an initial price of 130 yuan. At the exchange rate of 67.62 tenge per yuan quoted for October 27, 2026, that comes to around 8,800 tenge.

After VAT and a service fee were added, the total rose to 10,475 tenge. The extra charges came to approximately 1,684 tenge, or 19.2% of the original price.

This calculation covers a single order. Extra charges on other purchases may vary depending on the item’s price, the payment method and the checkout terms.

Why VAT appears at checkout

VAT stands for value-added tax. Kazakhstan’s standard VAT rate has been 16% since January 1, 2026. Pinduoduo is among the foreign online platforms registered to pay this tax in the country.

In the example reviewed, VAT came to around 1,406 tenge. That is equivalent to 16% of the item price. The service fee increased the order total further.

How to arrange delivery to Kazakhstan

You can register with a Kazakhstan phone number using the +7 country code. Then select Kazakhstan in the region settings and add the recipient’s address and postal code. The app’s interface is not available in Russian or Kazakh.

When checking out with an eligible order, the app may offer a Qazpost pickup point. Availability depends on the item and address, so you need to check at checkout.

Why the amount charged to your card may differ

If the payment is processed in a foreign currency, the amount in tenge depends on the conversion rate and your bank’s terms. The official exchange rate helps you compare prices, but does not guarantee that the same amount will be charged to your card.

Compare the purchase with offers on Kazakhstan’s marketplaces once all charges have been added. Use the full order cost for comparison: the item price, VAT, the service fee and delivery.

What to do if direct delivery is unavailable

Qazpost Keruen is available for these orders. The buyer gets a warehouse address in China through the Qazpost app and enters it when ordering on Pinduoduo. Once the parcel reaches the warehouse, the buyer arranges onward delivery to Kazakhstan.

Qazpost launched this service in March 2026. Instructions for placing an order are available on the company’s website.

In simple terms

Free delivery can reduce shipping costs, but the final price appears at checkout. Before paying, check that the item qualifies for the offer, the VAT amount, the service fee and the currency you will be charged in. Then compare the full cost with the price of an equivalent item in Kazakhstan.
