On August 19, Astana hosted the QAZBOT Robotics Forum 2026, bringing together global robotics manufacturers, software engineers, and government leadership to showcase Kazakhstan’s emerging industrial automation strategy. The event featured the Central Asian premiere of the flagship AGIBOT A3 Ultra humanoid and formalized milestones for the nation’s first commercial robotics manufacturing hub.

Ministerial Leadership Inauguration
The forum was inaugurated by Kazakhstan’s Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of Science and Higher Education, underscoring state backing for domestic robotics research and the creation of specialized engineering curricula across regional universities.
Core Strategic Session: QazBot and AgiBot Executive Partnership
The central business keynote brought together Vladislav Safarov (CEO of QazBot Technologies), Jiang Qingsong (COO of AgiBot), and Lv Suhe (VP and COO of Lingxi AgiBot) to address “The Future of Human-Robot Collaboration.” Concurrently, QazBot CTO Azamat Yeshmukhametov delivered a technical roadmap presentation detailing the engineering justification for the Astana Robotics & AI Hub.

A high-level plenary session titled “AI & Robotics: Shaping the Future Economy” gathered Huang Cheng (Overseas Solutions Director at AgiBot Genie), Lin Huan (Project Director at Yuanzheng), Zhang Weihong (VP of Overseas Sales at Brawn Robotics), Xia Jingyan (Head of AGIQUAD Solutions), and Kamil Isayev (CEO of MasterOfRobots Kazakhstan).

Technology Premiere: AGIBOT A3 Ultra
The headline hardware unveiling was the AGIBOT A3 Ultra, engineered as a “24/7 productive industrial partner.” Key specifications disclosed at the forum:
- Dimensions & Form Factor: Standing height of 174 cm, total chassis weight of 60 kg.
- Endurance: Up to 8 hours of continuous operation on high-density swappable battery modules.
- On-Board AI Compute: 700 TOPS processing capacity powered by NVIDIA Thor system-on-chip modules.
- Spatial Positioning: Sub-centimeter accuracy (under ±1 cm) via fused Ultra-Wideband (UWB) and Real-Time Kinematic (RTK) positioning.
- Swarm Intelligence: Multi-agent fleet management protocol supporting simultaneous coordination of up to 100 autonomous units in a shared workspace.

Exhibition and Enterprise B2B Meetings
The opening ceremony featured robotic performance demonstrations—including a robotic rendition of the traditional “Kara Zhorga” folk dance and martial arts routines—followed by synchronized multi-agent demonstrations of A3 and X2 platforms. In parallel with public exhibitions, QazBot and AgiBot conducted closed-door B2B bilateral sessions with enterprise leadership from Kazakhstan’s banking, extractive oil & gas, and heavy manufacturing sectors.

Context: Evolution of the $200M AgiBot–QazBot Partnership
The forum is the latest milestone in a verified bilateral timeline. Following strategic MoUs in April and the launch of an Astana demonstration showroom in July, the partnership was formally signed in Shanghai during President Tokayev’s official state visit to China. In August, civil construction began on the Astana Robotics & AI Hub, backed by an estimated $200 million Phase 1 investment. Kazakhstan has officially become the first CIS jurisdiction to localize serial AgiBot assembly and software adaptation.
