Eurasia Growth Hub plans to support 8–15 startups from Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan as they enter the UK market. These teams will have the opportunity to raise up to $50 thousand in investment (drive.google.com). The initiative was presented at the AI & Digital Bridge 2026 forum in Astana.

What happened

Eurasia Growth Hub is a new hub in London being developed in collaboration with Astana Hub and IT Park Uzbekistan. It will help technology companies find international customers, attract investment and expand abroad.

According to its CEO, Muzaffar Karabayev, the hub primarily targets startups that already have their own finished product. Its main audience is companies ready to enter international markets.

By the time of the session, the organisers had received more than 50 applications, Karabayev said. They plan to support an initial 8–15 teams in total from the two countries. Support is expected to continue after teams complete a business accelerator programme.

What this means for Kazakh startups

Plans include helping participants find their first overseas customers, build sales and meet investors. Support will also include workspaces, advice from business founders, and help with marketing and developing international partnerships.

Charlie Morris, the UK Foreign Office’s adviser on economic development in Central Asia, highlighted London’s opportunities for technology companies. In his view, the city offers access to investors, international business networks and industry experts. He singled out fintech, biotechnology and healthcare.

How to keep the team in Kazakhstan

The session explored how startups could raise capital and work with customers under UK jurisdiction while keeping development and their core team in Kazakhstan. Ata Argüder, co-founder and CEO of Academia Park London, supported this approach.

Drawing on his own entrepreneurial experience, Argüder explained how capital raised in the UK can fund a team in a startup’s home country. He suggested viewing London as a base for entering other markets.

What the partners agreed

At the forum, Astana Hub, IT Park Uzbekistan and Eurasia Growth Hub signed a memorandum. It provides for joint business missions, meetings between companies, educational events and support for startups entering overseas markets.

The partners are also interested in bringing British technology solutions and investment to Central Asia. The collaboration therefore aims both to promote the region’s companies in the UK and to attract British businesses to the region.
