A metal structures plant has opened in Kentau, in the Turkestan region, following an investment of 1.5 billion tenge in its construction. The facility, owned by AidarStroyGroup LLP, has created 30 jobs and will manufacture products for industry (kapital.kz).
What happened
The plant has begun operating in the city’s industrial zone, an area designated for manufacturing facilities. It specialises in metal structures and metal products for industry. Its production capacity is 100 units a year.
The company was allocated a 1.5-hectare site for the project. The land was provided through the Turkestan Social and Entrepreneurial Corporation. Construction at the site is complete, and the main production equipment has been installed.
Turkestan regional governor Nuralkhan Kusherov spoke at the plant’s opening. He linked its launch to the development of local manufacturing and the creation of permanent jobs.
What this means
For Kentau, the project brings a new industrial facility and 30 jobs. The plant now has a site and equipment for manufacturing metal structures. The stated figure of 100 units a year is its production capacity: the volume of output it is designed to produce.
“This is an important project that will strengthen industrial capacity and give fresh impetus to the region’s economy,” Nuralkhan Kusherov said at the opening ceremony.
Discussing the work ahead, the governor also mentioned investment projects and employment. He said President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev pays particular attention to developing domestic manufacturing in the regions.
How the site was prepared
Alongside construction of the plant itself, the necessary infrastructure was put in place. A power line was extended to the facility, and a transformer was installed. This equipment is needed to supply electricity to the plant.
Separate work was carried out to prepare the plant for connection to the natural gas supply. Site preparation therefore covered both production facilities and utilities: equipment inside the plant, electricity supply and work needed for the gas connection.
Construction and installation work is fully complete, and the main production equipment has been installed. The plant has begun operating on its allocated site in Kentau’s industrial zone. At the ceremony, Kusherov said the region would continue working to develop manufacturing, implement investment projects and create permanent jobs.
