AIESEC in Astana and Zimran have announced Business Cup 2.0, an in-person hackathon scheduled for November 14–15, 2026, at Nazarbayev University in Astana. According to the organisers, teams will have 24 hours to develop a solution to a real IT challenge, with a total prize pool of 5 million tenge.
A 24-hour challenge
The organisers say teams will take their idea through development and present their solution within 24 hours. Participants must attend in person.
Digital Business’s October 28 article includes comments from Zimran about the new format. It reports that undergraduate and master’s students can apply individually or in teams of up to three, including students from different universities.
Who can participate?
The press materials supplied to raem.kz invite students, beginning developers and IT specialists. However, Digital Business describes eligibility as limited to undergraduate and master’s students. Applicants who are not currently students should confirm their eligibility with the organisers before applying.
Prizes and feedback
According to the organisers, the 5 million tenge prize pool will be distributed among the best teams. Participants will also be able to present their solutions to Zimran representatives and receive professional feedback. Gifts and special offers from event partners have also been announced.
The organisers describe potential career opportunities as part of the event. Participation or a prize does not guarantee a job offer.
About Zimran
The organisers describe Zimran as an IT company developing educational technologies and digital products for everyday life, with its headquarters in Almaty.
