Enterprise artificial intelligence development in Kazakhstan has reached an unprecedented global milestone: tech startup SHAI, a resident of Astana Hub, announced it has secured $6 million in venture financing while deploying its enterprise multi-agent systems across multinational conglomerates. The enterprise was founded and is led by CEO Alibek Polatov.
No-Code Enterprise AI Built on Air-Gapped Proprietary Data
Most enterprise corporations remain reluctant to ingest confidential intellectual property and sensitive customer records into public cloud models such as ChatGPT. SHAI solved this data-residency impasse by developing an on-premise, enterprise-grade agent orchestration framework:
- Agentic models train and execute exclusively within the client’s secured private perimeter, ensuring zero data leakage;
- Enterprise workflows and reasoning chains are constructed via an intuitive visual no-code agent builder;
- Autonomous agents automate labor-intensive corporate workflows: ISO and state regulatory standard audits (Compliance AI), procurement tracking, legal contract risk parsing, and internal IT Help Desk resolution.
The startup’s domestic client portfolio includes Kazakhstan national oil champion KazMunayGas, national electric grid operator KEGOC, and leading academic institutions including Astana IT University and Maqsut Narikbayev University (MNU).
Global Breakthrough: Strategic Contract with Alphabet and GSK
The startup’s major international milestone was securing a commercial contract with Galvani Bioelectronics—the bioelectronic medicine venture jointly formed by Alphabet (Google’s parent company) and global healthcare titan GSK. For Galvani, SHAI deployed its Compliance AI engine to oversee intricate bioelectronic laboratory protocols and medical regulatory documentation.
In addition to enterprise B2B agents, the company develops Shainote (shainote.ai)—an advanced voice intelligence transcriber and meeting assistant featuring comprehensive native support for the Kazakh language (including mixed Kazakh-Russian corporate dialogues)—alongside its educational arm Shai Academy.
