AI Agents and Fraud Protection: Almaty to Host Halyk OIY Tech 2026

Official event poster for the Halyk OIY Tech 2026 conference featuring Halyk and Visa branding

How to deploy artificial intelligence into consumer banking products, protect transactions against fraud, and scale ecosystem offerings beyond core financial services will form the central agenda of Halyk OIY Tech 2026.

The conference will take place on October 29 at the Kazakh-British Technical University (KBTU) in Almaty. Hosted by Halyk in partnership with Visa, the event expects over 500 participants: software engineers, system architects, infrastructure leads, enterprise executives, and early-career specialists.

Conference Tracks & Agenda

The program is structured across six key thematic tracks:

  • AI in Banking Products. Agentic AI architectures, private large language models deployed on-premise, and practical applications of generative AI across retail and commercial banking workflows. Speakers will also examine how automated systems are reshaping tech job markets and required skillsets.
  • Merchant Payments and Business Services. Payment acquiring architectures, transitioning from basic chatbots to intelligent proactive AI assistants, and building marketplaces within corporate digital ecosystems.
  • Ecosystems Beyond Core Banking. Lifestyle and non-financial services, opening API infrastructures to third-party partners, and international best practices in ecosystem diversification.
  • Core Tech Infrastructure. Large-scale system migrations, enterprise architecture patterns, and resilient data platforms powering real-time analytics and machine learning workloads.
  • Cybersecurity and Anti-Fraud Engineering. How contemporary transaction monitoring systems train machine learning models on live behavioral signals and emerging adversarial tactics.
  • Halyk’s 2027 Technology Roadmap. Strategic architectural and business priorities guiding the financial institution into the upcoming year.

Who Should Attend

For software engineers, database architects, and infrastructure leads, sessions on internal LLM deployments and distributed data platforms offer practical engineering depth. Cybersecurity and risk teams will focus on transaction protection and behavioral anti-fraud models.

Founders, product leaders, and corporate innovation teams will find value in the tracks covering digital ecosystems, merchant solutions, and digital product scaling. For STEM students and junior engineers, the discussions provide clear visibility into in-demand capabilities in an automated landscape.

The speaker lineup combines in-house technical leaders from Halyk with invited experts from global technology vendors. The core focus centers on practical, production-ready implementation: from high-load banking apps to enterprise-grade fraud prevention.
