Freedom Broker: to open an account and buy shares, register in the app, complete verification, fund your trading account and submit an order. Opening an account usually takes 20–30 minutes, but additional checks can take longer. Freedom Finance Global PLC sets out these steps in its official guide (fbroker.kz). The funding terms and fees below apply to this legal entity.
Freedom Broker: how to open an account and buy shares through the app
Registration starts with an email address and password. Then you need to enter your tax details, complete an economic profile and accept the rules using a code sent by SMS. The next step is to photograph your documents and verify your identity with a selfie.
The guide does not state that an electronic digital signature is mandatory. The 20–30-minute timeframe is an estimate: additional checks may take longer.
After completing their economic profile, retail investors can access shares, bonds, ETFs and some options. ETFs are exchange-traded funds whose units trade on a stock exchange. The broker lists Kazakhstan’s KASE and AIX among the available exchanges, alongside the NYSE, NASDAQ and other overseas markets.

How much money you need to fund your account
The minimum deposit depends on the transfer method:
- By bank card — 500 tenge or $1.
- Through Freedom SuperApp — 100 tenge.
- By bank transfer — the broker sets no minimum; check the bank’s terms separately.
These are minimum account deposits. They do not mean you can buy any share for 100 or 500 tenge. When buying, you need to account for the price of your chosen security and the trading fee.
How to select an account and submit a buy order
First, select a trading account in the app. Its number consists of six characters, for example 7B1234. An account with the prefix D is a savings account and is not intended for securities trading.
Next, open “Quotes” and search for a share by its name or ticker — the symbol used to identify it on an exchange. After reviewing the security’s details, tap “Trade”.
In the order, select buy, choose a market or limit order and enter the number of shares. The Max button calculates the maximum quantity you can buy with the available funds. The official guide shows a share purchase; it does not explain the calculation details for bond purchases.
What fees Freedom Finance Global charges
According to the pricing page, new individual clients receive the promotional “Start” plan for 30 days. They then switch automatically to “Investor”. Before buying, check which plan currently applies to your account.
The following terms are listed for “Investor” and “Investment Subscription”:
| Plan and market | Fee |
|---|---|
| “Investor”: KASE and AIX, including IPOs | 0.085% of the transaction value |
| “Investor”: international markets, excluding ITS and Asian markets | 0.5% of the transaction value + $0.012 per security + $1.2 per order |
| “Investment Subscription”: international markets | 0.2% of the transaction value + $1.2 per executed order |
| “Investment Subscription” fee | $10 per month |
The full terms are in the “Documents” section, in Appendix 3, “Commissions, Fees, Reimbursements”. The broker also publishes custody fees separately. These rates cannot automatically be applied to an agreement with another legal entity in the Freedom group.
Can you lose money after buying?
The broker warns that financial instruments can fall in value. Past performance does not guarantee future returns, so buying shares does not promise a profit.
Checking your plan helps you understand the costs in advance, but does not eliminate market risk. Even if your account is opened successfully and your order is executed, the security you buy may fall in price.
In plain terms: what to check before your first trade
First, check the legal entity named in your agreement and your current pricing plan. Then select a trading account, a funding method and the share you want to buy. Before submitting the order, check the number of securities and the fee: the minimum deposit alone does not determine your purchase budget.
