Kazakhstani automotive marketplace CTOgram, founded by serial entrepreneur Zhandos Tursumbayev, has established itself as one of the primary catalysts of digital transformation in Central Asia’s automotive service industry. Connecting more than 280,000 drivers with over 2,000 certified auto service stations (STOs), the company secured venture backing from Singapore’s Quest Ventures, MOST Ventures, and Freedom Holding Corp. CEO Timur Turlov, ultimately becoming the cornerstone of the Freedom Auto ecosystem.
Digitizing Auto Repairs and the Autobody Service Chain
Prior to CTOgram, vehicle maintenance in Kazakhstan was plagued by information asymmetry, inflated quotes, and unverified workmanship. CTOgram streamlined the sector through end-to-end digitizing:
- Algorithmic STO Matching: Vehicle owners input their car model or VIN code alongside reported symptoms, instantly receiving binding repair quotes from vetted local repair centers;
- Direct B2B Spare Parts Marketplace: Enabling mechanics and car owners to procure certified OEM and aftermarket components directly from wholesale distributors without retail markups;
- Autobody Network: Launching specialized, company-operated body repair stations with computerized paint matching and structural chassis geometry verification.
Strategic Freedom Holding M&A Integration
In November 2021, CTOgram closed a $700,000 seed round backed by Quest Ventures and MOST Ventures. In June 2023, Timur Turlov invested $1.5 million at a $13.5 million valuation. In summer 2025, the venture finalized a milestone transaction: early venture investors exited at substantial returns, while Timur Turlov expanded his stake to 41% (with founder Zhandos Tursumbayev retaining 59%), seamlessly integrating the auto service network into the Freedom SuperApp architecture.
