Kazakhstan’s government has instructed ministries to create the E-APK digital platform and complete the agricultural sector’s Data Lake in 2027. The instructions also cover long-term subsidised agricultural lending and measures to accelerate investment projects, according to the government’s announcement.
E-APK and the Data Lake deadline
The Ministry of Agriculture was instructed to develop E-APK jointly with the Ministry of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development. The 2027 deadline specified in the announcement applies to completing the sector’s Data Lake.
In its reporting on the government meeting on 29 October, Informburo.kz also reported the instruction to create E-APK and complete the Data Lake in 2027. A separate report by Vremya covered the same digitalisation instruction and the 2027 timeframe.
Long-term lending and investment
The Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of National Economy and Baiterek Holding were tasked with implementing long-term agricultural lending programmes, including for livestock farming and the storage and processing of agricultural products, alongside subsidised leasing.
Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov described access to long-term subsidised financing as necessary for modernising production facilities and creating processing capacity. The government also called for the removal of unnecessary administrative barriers to accelerate agricultural investment projects.
