Starlink offers home internet in Kazakhstan for 24,495 or 37,500 tenge a month. You need to check availability at your specific address, as service availability changes (starlink.com). According to the Ministry of Digital Development, the agreement with Starlink allows terminals to be legally purchased, used and registered under Kazakhstan’s laws (gov.kz).
How much Starlink costs in Kazakhstan
Starlink’s Kazakhstan page lists two home plans. Both include unlimited data and a 30-day trial.
| Plan | Monthly fee | Speed |
|---|---|---|
| Residential — 100 Mbps | 24,495 tenge | Up to 100 Mbps |
| Residential | 37,500 tenge | Maximum available speed, with no specific speed promised |
The plan capped at 100 Mbps is available only in certain areas. Speeds may fall during peak hours. The standard Residential plan on this page does not promise a specific speed.
The prices listed are monthly service fees. They should not be mistaken for the purchase price of the equipment kit.

Can you legally buy and use a terminal?
On June 12, 2025, Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Digital Development and Starlink signed an agreement on compliance with Kazakhstan’s laws. It covers information security and telecommunications requirements, as well as the official launch of terminal sales to the public.
The ministry explicitly stated that the equipment could be legally purchased, used and registered. Before the agreement, Starlink operated as a pilot project for schools and was not officially available to the public.
How to check availability at your address
Starlink recommends checking its coverage map and service availability at your service address. The fact that the service operates in Kazakhstan does not guarantee that every home can get connected.
If a preorder remains unconfirmed, service is not yet available at the specified address. The company does not guarantee a specific connection date, so you should go by your order status.
How to place an order and meet the deadlines
Starlink’s official instructions explain how to make a purchase through your account. When confirming a preorder, you need to check the plan and service address, select accessories, and review the delivery details and payment method.
Once the email saying your preorder is ready arrives, you have 7 days to confirm it. If you miss this deadline, the deposit is automatically cancelled and refunded.
What role does Transtelecom play?
On February 13, 2026, Transtelecom announced that it had formalized its status as a Starlink partner. The partnership aims to expand satellite internet access in hard-to-reach and remote communities in Kazakhstan (ttc.kz).
As of the announcement, the operator had put more than 600 terminals into service in remote rural districts. This is a separate satellite communications rollout. For a business use case, see the article on running an internet business with Starlink in a rural village.
In simple terms: What to check before buying
First, check whether Starlink is available at your address, then compare the two home plans. For the 24,495-tenge plan, keep in mind the speed cap and its availability only in certain areas.
Before placing an order, check the service address, delivery details and payment method. If you receive an email saying your preorder is ready, confirm it within seven days.
