When will ҰМАЙ applications open?
According to Kursiv’s report of 28 October, Otbasy Bank said applications would open soon but had not specified a date. Applying through consultants would become an additional option alongside the existing application channels.
How to choose a consultant for your application
Choose a specialist in your city and check their list of services. It must include both “Preliminary affordability assessment” and “Acceptance of loan application documents”.
The consultant will help gather documents, carry out a preliminary affordability assessment and explain the programme’s terms.
Other ways to submit documents
The bank said the existing application options would remain available:
- through the Video Service;
- through the Baspana Market portal;
- at an Otbasy Bank branch.
During the previous launch, applicants encountered technical problems when applying online. The bank attributed these to heavy traffic on the service. Around 100 women received preliminary approval online.
Who is the mortgage programme for?
Under the previously announced terms, ҰМАЙ is intended for working women with officially documented income and pension contributions for the past six months.
Key figures for the ҰМАЙ mortgage
The Asian Development Bank approved a second tranche of 20 billion tenge for the programme. Krisha.kz also reported the funding approval, confirming that the first tranche amounted to 9 billion tenge and its limit was exhausted in seven hours, with 855 applications accepted.
According to Kursiv, the bank accepted those applications on 31 August.

What to do before applying
Choose a consultant in your city, check that they offer both required services and discuss the documents you will need. A preliminary affordability assessment can help you prepare, but it does not replace submitting a loan application when the application period opens.
