To check a business partner in Kazakhstan, review its tax records, debts, registration and business status, then cross-check the findings against the transaction documents. The State Revenue Committee recommends supplementing registry checks with documents confirming that the transaction was actually carried out (gov.kz). This recommendation was published on 12 June 2023. For buyers, it is a reason to check both the supplier and the evidence of delivery.
How to check a business partner in Kazakhstan through the State Revenue Committee
The committee’s recommendation lists tax payment records, searches for non-compliant taxpayers and outstanding customs duties, taxes and late-payment penalties. It also advises checking for invalid registration, insolvency and liquidation proceedings.
The committee’s website has a search tool for non-compliant taxpayers and lists of insolvent debtors. Restrictions on issuing electronic invoices, or e-invoices, are published separately (kgd.gov.kz). These records help assess a supplier before choosing a business partner.

Which warning signs call for further checks
The Ministry of Finance described a tax dispute in which a supplier registered on 16 November 2023 and filed no tax returns. Yet it issued e-invoices worth around 120.4 million tenge.
Another supplier failed to comply with a desk audit notice dated 30 July 2024. A decision dated 12 September 2024 restricted its ability to issue e-invoices.
Missing tax returns despite substantial turnover and restrictions on e-invoices are warning signs. The amount cited relates to a specific dispute: it is not a universal threshold for identifying a fly-by-night company.
Which documents are needed besides an invoice
The State Revenue Committee explicitly recommends obtaining documents confirming that the transaction was actually carried out. The existence of an e-invoice should be checked against whether the goods were actually supplied.
In the dispute described by the Ministry of Finance, a cross-check dated 30 January 2026 established that no agricultural products had been sold to a particular buyer during 2022–2024.
When checking a supplier with potential problems, it is therefore worth gathering documents showing that the transaction was carried out. The committee’s 2023 recommendation does not, by itself, mean that every such e-invoice is automatically excluded from tax credits.
How to obtain company information through eGov
eGov offers a service providing information on a registered legal entity, branch or representative office. Applications are signed using a digital signature or an SMS password. The second option requires registration in the Mobile Citizens Database (egov.kz).
These conditions apply to legal entities, branches and representative offices. They cannot be assumed to apply to checks on an individual entrepreneur without separate confirmation.
How much commercial checking services cost
Kompra compiles company information and, according to its own FAQ, shows the source and date of the latest data update in each section. The FAQ itself has no update date (about.kompra.kz).
Check the current price before paying. For more details, read our article on what a Kompra check shows.
ADATA’s pricing page lists the following paid options (adata.kz):
| Package | Price | Limit and validity |
|---|---|---|
| “Basic+” | 2,000 tenge | Five checks per day, valid until 23:59 |
| ADATA | 100,000 tenge | 20 checks per day, 365 days |
| ADATA PRO | 1,500,000 tenge | 200 checks per day, 365 days |
Put simply
Before paying, check the supplier’s tax records, debts, registration and any restrictions on issuing e-invoices. Then cross-check the findings against documents confirming that the transaction was carried out. If you use a commercial service, check the source and update date of the information, and confirm the price before topping up your account.
