In Ulytau Region, 86 schools and 14 colleges received 100 3D printers free of charge. The equipment was donated by Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools alumni who founded the Kazakhstani companies CYBERPACK.AI and Rolab (drive.google.com). School and college students will be able to build early prototypes of their designs and gain hands-on experience in engineering design.
What happened
The project was launched by Sabyrzhan Mustafin, Mansur Akhmerov, Damir Daurenuly and Adilet Sadu. The entrepreneurs are developing technology projects at companies based at the Astana Hub international technology park.
The founders of CYBERPACK.AI and Rolab are among those behind the initiative. Their equipment donation is a contribution to technology education in Kazakhstan’s regions.

What this means for students
The printers will bring practical lessons alongside theory. Students will be able to learn 3D modelling — creating three-dimensional digital models — and print prototypes of their own designs. These early models allow them to test and refine their ideas.
The equipment is also intended to help students learn the basics of engineering design and industrial design. The initiative supports STEM education, which combines science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
The project’s organisers hope access to these tools will help students discover their aptitude for engineering and technical creativity. They expect the initiative to increase interest in scientific and technical subjects.

What the team plans next
The entrepreneurs intend to expand the project to other regions of Kazakhstan and donate 3D printers to local schools. Their goal is to make engineering technologies more accessible to students across the country.
For the Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools alumni, the initiative is a way to use their knowledge and professional experience to support the next generation. raem.kz previously reported on how Sabyrzhan Mustafin is developing CYBERPACK.AI.
